NRI gets 7 yrs for trying to smuggle drugs - Manpreet Bal, along with three accomplices, was arrested during a raid at Sahar airport in 2008.
Canadian national of Indian origin and three accomplices have been sentenced to seven years' imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1 lakh each for attempting to smuggle out 100 kgs of a synthetic narcotic material to Mexico in 2008.

Mumbai: Bollywood's customs conundrum continues. Actor Dia Mirza was detained by customs officials at Mumbai airport in the early hours of Saturday for carrying undeclared dutiable goods worth Rs.2 lakh. She was, however, let off after paying a penalty of Rs.1.25 lakh.
